In the heart of Lacrosse geographic footprint, Labor Day is the official end of summer.  For us, it means cooler weather is on the horizon for all us Gorillas.  The Gorilla Lacrosse Club is ready to kick off our 2018 season which promises to be our strongest season yet.  We are shifting our strategy on learning, coaching and building Gorilla Lacrosse.  Our mission is to provide YOU with a superior lacrosse product and grow the game through a grass roots mentality.  We can talk all day about our ideas, if interested, please reach out to us to discuss in greater detail.

Registration for the 2018 season will open this weekend.  A few of our ideas for 2018 are below, so stay tuned to the Gorilla website, facebook page and our other social media sites for more details.

We have fielded many questions about our summer/fall programs.   The Gorilla lacrosse Club encourages our players to play multiple sports and not to become too sport specific at a young age.  This is why we typically will not begin until closer to our season.

There are many reasons why, 4 of which are:

  1. Prevent Injury
  2. Prevent Burnout
  3. Better Performance
  4. Provides Options

  • Fall Indoor Lacrosse for our 2017 12U & 10U teams.  Playing box lacrosse is similar to the multiple sport philosophy.  Box lacrosse requires players to play differently and provides more touches which develops stick skills.
  • Fall Clinics:  We will have a fall clinic for all age groups in Nov & Dec
  • New Player Clinic (Date TBD) - Refer a new Boys player to our FREE Clinic and receive $25 back when they register for 2018 season.  Girls have a different New Player program in place.
  • Soft Lacrosse Curriculum - Gorilla lacrosse will be featuring Soft lacrosse which will allow players under Age 7 to play with no equipment necessary.  This will be a FREE program and we hope to integrate into local youth programs
  • We are working on a soft lacrosse Moms/Dads & 6U kids (boys & girls).  An hour or 2 each week where parents can interact and kids can play some lacrosse.  This program will be designed to provide a safe, early look at lacrosse while parents interact and learn about the game.  It also will be a program without any expenses other than time.

Check the website, register early and get set for the best year yet!  Early registration is critical to our ability to schedule fields, find coaches and plan for the upcoming season.  It will also be important to ensure that your child gets a uniform or a uniform that fits properly.  Please don't wait...Early registration helps us provide a better lacrosse experience.

Thank You
